Reviews and Ratings
The hotel room felt like a post-War barrack, deserted and dirty, but overlooked the most spectacular scenery. The service was obviously struggling in the current market, running behind and out of their depth. The location was in a great spot near the railway station but had some safety concerns with broken furniture left unattended. The dining experience was a shambles of organization without enough staff, although happy with the admission of staffing problems.
The hotel has breathtaking sea views and is just a couple of minutes from a gorgeous beach. The rooms are tiny but come with breakfast included. The service was accommodating, especially during dining times. The dining experience was ordinary but could use some improvement. The hotel's location is a bit of a nightmare in terms of needing maintenance, but the views are great.
I stayed in one of the sea view rooms for two nights and found the experience to be extremely basic, more like a hostel room than a hotel. While I paid £400 for the stay, I couldn't help but compare it to other places in the highlands and on the isles that offered better rooms at a lower price. The service was a mix of excellent hospitality and slight frustrations, and the location was convenient but not without its need for transportation.
The hotel has a stunning view of the bay from the rooms, but the accommodations feel like a university hall that's poorly repaired. The overnight noise from the car park could be disturbing, affecting the overall experience. However, the service was excellent and very helpful, even though there were some lapses in explanation. The location offers wonderful views despite some safety concerns that need addressing. The dining experience was pleasant, with some minor hiccups in service timing. Overall, the facilities were adequate, but improvements could enhance the guest experience.
My stay at the hotel had its ups and downs. The rooms had some issues, like finding used towels on the floor, and later experiencing water pipe problems that led to flooding. However, the service was exceptional, with friendly staff and a lovely bar area. The location, despite some safety concerns, offered beautiful surroundings and easy access to attractions. The dining experience was average, with room for improvement in the service and menu options.
The hotel rooms were really spacious and great value for the money, with a super breakfast too. They had everything I needed, were bright and clean, almost like a hostel room.
The hotel is ideally positioned overlooking the Sands of Morar and the Small Isles, recommended for a stop during a Scottish round trip. The rooms, though needing renovations, offer an upgraded sea view option, which is a nice touch. The service was lacking at times, especially with the manager not addressing issues promptly. Dining had mixed experiences with some staffing issues during breakfast service, but the minimum was managed well. Overall, the location is picturesque and convenient for travelers.
